Hi! I'm trying start my private API Eurex trading on Eurex and as private investor can't get DMA connection that by default fastest way. And in my opinion I have only two ways: CQG or TT API (Rithmic do not have Eurex local data center). 1. Both these providers have Eurex local data center. Is it correctly? 2. Risk control run locally for allow as more as possible fast trading? TT run risk control on they data center. CQG - do no know (waiting reply from the support). 3. Cost is similar. So my question. Anybody know about CQG & TT latency? Is it similar? Or one faster than another? I need be no more 2 ms slower than DMA traders. It should allow me generate small profit (in my opinion). Regards, Eugene.
Hello Eugene, I am not sure that CQG have engine in Frankfurt.. just London.. so i think that TT your are more fast. Regards.
Hi Eugene, I normally wouldn't "second guess" anybody's strategy but I have found that often "raw speed" as a strategy is far less important than Analytic factors. Sure, speed is important. I do Micro Scalping of Forex and, so long as my latencies are less than 50 msec or so, that's just fine. The real issue is almost always Analytics, knowing the market direction. But I don't know you, nor what you are aiming to achieve. Maybe you do need these "institutional" latencies for your strategies. Only you would know that, but I would say that most trading strategies are not limited by Execution Latencies, but by weaknesses in Analytics and other factors. Again, without knowing what you're trying to code up here, and without knowing just how good you might be as a programmer, it wouldn't be possible to say for sure. I'd like to hear more about the overall business and trading strategy you're implementing. Good Trading ! HyperScalper
My understanding is that eurex nodes in Chicago, London and frankfurt put out the prices at the same time so there is no disadvantage if you are not in Germany.
just21, EUREX is in frankfurt. The quotes can't do the same time to do frankfurt - london (400miles) and frankfurt - chicago (4000miles) !! So more you are close to engine market, more quickly you have quotes
The nodes put the quotes out at the same time so there is no disadvantage to traders not in Frankfurt. Call Eurex and ask them. Do report back here.
