  1. I like the Greeks new negotiating position. What do they have to lose? They are betting the european community is more afraid of setting the precedent of a country leaving than giving in to them.

They have another ploy that they just revealed. European sanctions on Russia require unanimous consent of all members. The new Greek government is saying, wait a minute, we're not so sure about these new sanctions. They have the ability to block any further sanctions. Do you thnk that might be worth something to Putin?

It was reported on the acting-man.com blog that Greece gave their support for Russian sanctions after all. The new gov't was just miffed that the EU had already said it was unanimous for sanctions without asking them. And after they let the EU know that they shouldn't take them for granted, they gave their ok for sanctions.

Greece created a huge public debt in the first place by creating a bloated public sector and gov't giveaways. Now they want debt relief so they can do the same thing. As if it won't just build the debt back up to unsustainable levels all over again. They have no intention of using debt relief to become a more productive economy. So why should Germany accept those terms?

Stimulating 'aggregate demand' is just commie speak for huge gov't deficits to redistribute a nations wealth. It's all about welfare and gov't handouts and bogus gov't shovel ready Solyndras. The theory of aggregate demand is just a new term used to describe the same old things. The only thing that will stimulate an economy on a lasting basis is to increase productivity so they can make better products and/or at a cheaper price. The socialist commie aggregate demand model will just build up debt to unsustainable levels and create yet another crisis in Greece.

It would be risky giving in to Greece even if Greece were going to do the right things, because Spain and Italy and possibly others like Portugal are right behind Greece wanting debt relief. But if they give in to Greece so that Greece can go socialist with the proceeds, the other countries will want the same thing and Germany will just become a punching bag bank for the other countries socialist plots. Germany needs to stand strong.

Media everywhere take the line that the only thing standing in the way of recovery for the EU is the evil Germany. In reality, Germany is the only thing standing in the way of EU countries stepping on the gas for more and larger socialism.

  4. What a fool. Leftism is fun only so long as there is somebody else's money to redistribute. Once EVERYBODY is broke, people stand in line for their ration of toilet paper and potatoes.
