DRW Acquires Chopper Trading

That's pretty big news.

 

Why is this big news? Are they both that large?

 

Seriously? DRW is a giant. Chopper is one of "the" premiere trading houses in the country, not just Chicago. DRW's fixed income operation is probably on par with Goldman. Don Wilson is a legend in the trading industry.

DRW also has likely the biggest OTC Nat Gas Options book - substantially bigger presence than Timber Hill from my understanding.

 

Yes, DRW is very active in OTC NG options. Top 1 and 2 are probably DRW and CTC.

 

I thought timberhill only did equity options.
