I always place a protective stop fairly close to my entry and I accept the fact upfront that I may be wrong in my trade thesis and lose on the trade. I'm also not trading risk in excess of 1% of my account. I've been trading live for several years. I've traded from 1 contract to 20 contracts and I can't say this increased heart rate changes much whether I'm trading a 1 lot or multiple lots.

Thanks in advance and for the person who is going to say that I have no business trading and should quit because I'm afraid, go F yourself.[/quote]

I wonder you are still not a consistent profitable trader?

A real and profitable trading is always boring, and most likely you repeat the same steps in each trade and you will not get excited at all, as you know the outcome of your trades, you win and loss a few here and there, but you win in long term. Noting exciting, and to be honest, it is quite boring.

Autonomic nervous system response to loss aversion. This means you're worried about the loss - and that's a problem needing a solution.

Reduce size or become comfortable with being wrong - because there's zero possibility of being right consistently.

As long as it's not affecting your trading, why worry, your burning a few extra Cals for nothing, always a good thing :)

Increase your lot size, till you get your HR into the Fat burn zone, beach fit in no time!! ( I WISH ! LOL )

That can be a good thing; it proves you are alive, mr moreshot.LOL
Many times my heart starts pounding many weeks before the trend does a parabolic stop + reverse.

Therefore, a pounding heart for me; means simply check the charts again[monthly weekly, daily, all monthly data; a pounding heart simply means to me check charts again, its hardly ever a buy, buy to cover or sell. But again a repeating pattern= it means I am alive. NOT a prediction @ all; simply wisdom
