According to everything I've read, the 2014 tax year version of TurboTax Deluxe has removed two functions for stock traders: 1) the interview mode for completing Sch D, and 2) e-file capability for submitting an electronic return which contains Sch D. The Deluxe version does contain Sch D in its long list of IRS forms and you can complete it manually in forms mode. However, in this case you must print the return and mail it since e-file will not support it. You would need to purchase the Premier version of TurboTax to get this functionality which has been removed from Deluxe. This is my "best efforts" interpretation of what I've read online. If anyone has any better information, you are welcome to clarify/correct.

Now I will have to manually import all my taxpayer information into a new tax software suite because I don't like being handed bullshit explanations.
