    1RT equals 2 contracts.

If you fix the products you want trade, set tight limits, close positions before the close, the FCM doesn't hold much risk. So they will be willing to lower fees.

Leasing or joining an incentive program makes sense.

  2. any UK based firms that offer a good deal ?
I have heard good things about APEX / Advantage etc but worried about being located in Ireland and the IT issues with connecting to the USA ?
used to trade 4figure RTs but around 200 RTS per day now

Why would you have IT issues connecting to the USA? Do you need co-location with an automated platform or do you point-n-click with a platform like CQG or CTS?

  4. Hi Robert

I have traded since 2004 , always with X Trader Pro. I currently trade from m home office in Ireland. X Trader is on my workstation and I VPN into the firm I trade with in London.
I could do the exact same thing with a US company but would I have any issues with speed ?

I use TT with sierra chart to trade CME from South Korea. Speed is no problem cause I scalp the market all the time

If you require low latency, any of these will be slow. If you are point and click, the more hops and distance will create slowness, but you might not see it. Do you trade futures in Europe and US or just one? I'm not an expert on reducing delays on these set ups, but I assume you can work with TT for the best log in server for your situation. I also assume that anyone trading CME and Eurex from one desktop will not have the same speed on both paths.

I hear Ireland is beautiful. I've always wanted to do a Whisky tour that covers Ireland and Scotland.
