To be able to connect them easily and be sure that if one closes it will open again itself quickly, use twsstart a little piece of software,well made that first help you to connect ninjatrader and tws using their api, and this software obliges tws to be opened so even if you close it, twsstart will open it again and login automatically like magic. I tried it yesterday after few researches on the net and every user of twsstart gives it a 5star. For the other problem you are talking about, I never heard or read something like that,and I hope ray can give a solution.
Josker - appreciate your input. while I would certainly try twstart, but once it disconnect even for a second, Ninja strategies get disabled, then when tws reopens, Ninja strategies re enables, problem of syncing position is one of tough challenge you would see
