How's the platform? Good for backtesting? Programming? Autotrading?

Backtesting is good. Programming is easy. I do not do autotrading and have no opinion on that.

I have it and will try to give an updated opinion on the version 9 in a few weeks

  7. DO NOT USE MULTICHARTS I placed an order on Multicharts DOM trader GUI. I cancelled the order. The order no longer appeared on the DOM . Turns out the order did NOT cancel even though it no longer appeared in DOM. I lost $1300. Multicharts takes no responsibility. UNACCEPTABLE. I've traded for 30 years and I've never had this happen.

Multicharts is terrific charting platform. I would never use it as an order entry platform, however, simply because I like to keep charting and order entry on separate machines.

  9. According to the information I have, such issue was never repoorted to MultiCharts Support. We have tried to contact waterman33 to get more details, but received no response. One should understand that there is always a certain risk involved in trading financial instruments. However, we investigate every reported issue to indetify the reason of the problem and fix it, if the problem is confirmed.

This proprietary trading operation I know is tracking and placing orders for more than 200 patterns in 15-minite data (Price Action Lab generated EL code) with no problems at all for at least two years.
