The previous version had an icon that would appear when a thread had a new reply. It was a quick, easy way to quickly scan the forum. Maybe it's a setting, but I have not noticed them since the upgrade. Can these be re-enabled?
That view has been replaced by the tabbed consolidated view at the top of the home page, which gives members several tabs of info that will give them more insight as to what's happening currently. Clicking on any thread in the tab called "Threads with Recent Posts" will automatically take you to first unread post in that thread.
Thanks for trying. But go back to the old method. I want to see the threads under each topic. All threads jumbled together is useless. IMHO<g>
It's too easily manipulated to be the primary view of the forums. The same few busy threads in a given forum constantly appear in the list of 5 threads with recent posts in that forum, which is redundant and not very useful. I've was seeing certain people adding a three-word post to their thread just so it would get bumped back up in the list, which ultimately pushes brand new threads right down (or completely off) the list since the list only shows 5 threads per forum.
Ok well, could you add a column ( in addition to the time and the poster) showing what sub heading its from? say from "Trading" or "Retail Firms". That would be helpful. Thanks.
