R - trading platform

  1. Hi,

Anyone thinking about developing any software for automating their strategies ? Developing software can be a costly business. I am looking for someone to share the cost of developing a program if the requirements match.

Currently working on a platform that can manage portfolio 0f 80-100 instruments. There is no front end GUI so all strategies are in hard code. Language that can be used are R and C++.

    API connection to interactive Brokers.

gee, what's the purpose of your post exactly ?

working on a platform that can manage 80-100 instruments ? what a big improvement, when everyone else can manage thousands of instruments.

and again, what make you think it should be in C++ or R ? is that because these are buzz words ?

again, what's the purpose of your post ? very vague and deja vue at the same time.

  3. I am aware that platforms manage 1000' s or that you may be managing the same. I am looking to automate more than what I can manually manage. So no its not an improvement, but it is for me, maybe not for your high standard.

c++ and R ? Buzzwords ?? Why would they be? Maybe I am familiar and comfortable with them myself.

    Whats your buzzword?

Very deja vu? Sounds like you have been doing it yourself. Why not share your experience. That may be a little more helpful.

If its not your cup of tea then fine.
