Prop Firms

  1. I agree with DT3. However, all of their accounts may not be in demo, it could possibly be just a handful of accounts, and therefore some will not have this issue or experience. Nevertheless, it does warrant some further investigation. For example, the article cites that another firm, G6trading.com, is somehow related. However, the owner of G6 recently posted a rebuttal on RipOffReport.com, claiming that they were an education company and NOT related to Nonko.

Personally, I do not believe that Nevis Trading should be lumped into the articles. They have several threads on ET and don't seem to have any negative reviews on them. In fact, they actually run banner ads here at ET!

So it's just a question of whether or not some traders at Nonko specifically have "TR" in front of their account numbers without their knowledge, as that is the main allegation being voiced by the chat room participants.

  2. I can't speak to those who have problems with Nonko. My account is not a training account and does not start with a TR. With any company, you're going to have a few irate unhappy customers. Even McDonalds gets sued all the time yet they are still in business.

If that person in that blog really had this happen, then that just plain sucks.

Just like a trade, every $ has risk and unfortunately, same goes with signing up for the prop accounts. Props are riskier than broker accounts. Otherwise, just get an IB account. Can make as much trading w/ futures and fx. FYI - I'm short NQ and USDJPY with stops at 52wk highs =)

  5. Never heard of them, it seems they are a Russian prop firm. I could only find this review, it also has a link to their site.
