I just called T3

    I don't know T3 but prop firms are not geared up to be PR friendly. Most of the running costs are passed on to the traders. We would all be up in arms if suddenly our desk fees went up because some secretary was hired to answer speculative phone calls. Its usually one of the IT guys or Risk Managers that pick up our phones.

    Although I agree a professional sounding voicemail message would give a better impression.

    If you are contacting a prop firm for anything speculative in nature always email them. If you're asking for advice/job openings/business relationships they will always want to see statements or some credentials before talking anyway.
