    Hi Everyone,

I am taking the series 56 examination tomorrow, I have been studying with the pass perfect materials, so far in the practice test my best scores are an 80, 79, and 74. In the CBOE practice tests I have been scoring well over 80 most of the time.

Any advice from someone who has actually taken the test in the past?

  2. You should retake all pass perfect exams until you score an 80 or higher. I saw that you got a 74. I hope that 74 was your first try and not your second or third try.

I passed it a few years ago. I think the odds are good that you will pass it. Which firm are you trading with? Also you might want to post this in the "Prop Trading" section of this site btw..

Hi Money Matthew, I have been through the materials for a couple weeks, I was having a hard time at the beginning with the practice tests, but now I am getting above 70 every time. Do you have any specific advice on the test, on what to expect? How were your scores in the pass perfect when you took it. I am going to start trading with T3 in the Miami office.

  4. You and I need to talk later about T3. If your test is tomorrow then it is too late for any real advice. It all boils down to memorizing the material.

Speaking of memorizing, if you retake the same tests over and over again then you end up just memorizing the questions themselves..which does not help much. You should have scored above a 70 on your second try and an 80 or higher on your third try. If you cannot reach those scores in a few tries then you did not understand or memorize the material properly.

Tomorrow you will find out if you did study correctly. I hope you did. Good luck.

I have taken every test probably around 4 to 5 times each, except for #4 which i have only completed once or twice for the reasons you told me, I am using it as a sample, which is the last thing i am going to do before the exam, as a tester.
