    Hello all

Need some help in finding out how to approach and what requirements should be met before a proprietry firm can go and ask different brokerage houses to start offering auto trading for its clients.

For example, if a prop firm 'A' wants TD Ameritrade or Scottrade to offer automated trading to the clients of company A, what requirements does company A needs to fulfill so that it can be hooked up?

  2. usually prop firms connect to brokers through fix on the server side.
on the other end they offer traders some kind of front end or API for traders to enter trades to the prop firm.
as far as the traders know they are trading with the prop firm... as far as the broker know they are getting trades from the prop firm.
the prop firm negotiates with the broker based on the aggregated volume of all their trades to get lower fees than any of them traders could get on their own.
