For starters, I trade with ninja trader 7 and I run only automated strategies.

I was previously using beeksvps with fxcm but I don't like the idea that they could be keeping an eye on my strategy. With that said I am looking for a company that does not have any connection to trades or brokers.

Right now I am only trading currencies, but In the next month or so I will also be adding a strategy to trade futures.

While I wouldn't consider it to be hft, my strategy does trade about anywhere from 200-800 times per week per pair. As a result of this I need the vps to be able to have fast execution times, and be able to handle the flow for about 50 charts to be open at once.

Finally, I use a macbook right now but I would like the ability to log on to the server from any computer via just an internet connection.

I really don't know a whole lot about this topic and I hope someone is kind enough to point me in the right direction.

    Kind regards

  2. I currently use Steadfast VPS. I have the same concern as you do because I regularly see either an automated agent or a real admin logged into my account at night only. I am not sure of the reason for this or how often they actually check what I have posted there. I also use Ninjatrader and upload my code as compiled assemblies.

Do you mean that on your steadfast vps you see someone logged on? If I am that paranoid should I just buy a fast computer and make sure I don't loose internet connection and a power source?

a VPS is a rented remote computer. it has uptime internet connection for almost 24 hours. when you order a vps server, for example windows server based one. you'll given a login and password to login via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), thru this feature you can acces this rented server online, put anything you want on this remoted computer including your ninja trader platform. as long as you dont share your rented server ip address, along with login password, no one would be able to access it.
i dont use mac, but the way to accesing VPS using mac are the same way i guess.

I use commerical network services, and they have been very reliable for me. They optimize the connection to certain brokers. No matter what VPS, and no matter what they promise about security, never think they can't log into your OS, via a rogue employee hacking or otherwise, and you need dual or triple layer of security - definite compile/encrypt your strategies in some way.
