Today trades examples are losses: When I see price and cummalitive delta not doing what I anticipated, I get out before my 'hard' stop is reached. This keeps the losses to a minimum. First trade, is exit at first scale. That is the exercise that I like wwatson1 to keep doing, untill he can do it in his sleep. Only when this is mastered, I can show with multiple position to take larger profits. image1.jpg

  3. Why did you anticipate a down move when the trend was clearly up according to the arrangement of the moving averages?

Yes, and that is my "bad". I was anticipating a down day and not really paying attention what was displaying in front of me. Sometimes when I'm not focused, this happens to me. I'm glad that it is maybe one or two day's in a month. I recognized it as soon I'm out, and I quit for the day then...

I see I do not really answer your question of "Why" I did anticipate a down move:
Do not use this for know, but let me explain some things about anticipation. Before I start every day I look at what the move was the day before. Out of that, I look at pictures that may or may not happen. The day before yesterday was a clear down move, breaking the low from 16th september. From that information, I look what could happen next. I expect a down day, yesterday, and that did happen, but in the afternoon and not in the morning session. I use market profile, see picture below, to find resistance, I could sell and let it go down all day. If you look closely, you see a resistance (lowest blue line) of 9-22 at 1022. If you see the price chart, you see that it went to 1022 and started to turn for a moment. That inforced my belief of going short, without really paying attention of a clear uptrend at that moment. As soon I figured out that I was wrong, I got out with a very small loss. Because I did have a loss, I thought to use this example for you, to let you see that I get out before the 'hard' stop is reached. But now it gives more confusion for you, sorry. image1.jpg

Today examples. First trade loser, that hit my 'hard' stop. It was hit before I could react. Happens sometimes. Second one, I move the first scale out a little further becaus I knew there was more room for upmove. Other up signals I ignored because of anticipating down move for today or at least an inside day with sideways move only. Thirth and fourth trade, just out at first scale. If you have question, feel free to ask. Tomorrow no trades, must go to a funneral of a familymember. image1.jpg

Today's example is an example with a an exit strategy, that is not set in stone, like the 'first scale' exit. When Wwatson1 is doing the entry's in his sleep, we are going to work on the exits... Today's exit, is when the close is above the 'orange' dot or the moving avarage simple of the high, low, close, period 3 and 1 displace. This let's you ride the smaller trend in your direction...

Another day, other examples... You can do this, day in day out. You can do this the first hour, last hour, four hours or all day long, depends on what you want to accomplish... You can do this with index, oil, etf, forex, everything that moves:) I think it is clear... I will suspend more examples untill their is a question. No question, then this will be it. image1.jpg
