Here's an interview I conducted back in the day. Guys like this use to post actively on elite-- guys who are real not the phonies, haters and passive aggressive degenerate gamblers attacking my every post on the surf report. enjoy!! http://www.schindlertrading.com/include/content/Real_World_Trading_interview.pdf Dave: Hi \, I am executive producer of Real World Trading. Today, I am pleased to be joined with Aaron Schindler. Aaron is a CTA who actively trades in the short term. He has experienced substantial returns over the last several years, despite a few dramatic drawdowns. Let’s get rolling to see what we can learn. Aaron: Hi Dave, thanks for the invitation. Dave: Sure, lets start at the beginning. I know you were in academia for a while and then you stepped into trading, can you tell us a little bit about your history? Aaron: I actually have a physics background;. I went to MIT as an undergraduate, then went to UC Berkeley also majoring in physics. I got my masters in particle physics and was working on my PhD. I was doing research at FermiLab outside of Chicago. I dropped out of the PhD. program and went to work with Monroe Trout in downtown Chicago. Dave: What triggered that radical change from particle physics to trading? Aaron: Well, I was on the experimental side of particle physics. People involved in theory do a lot of equations on the blackboard, and write papers and teach. Experimental physicists build experiments, collect data, analyze data, write papers and do some teaching, too
Good stuff! Who knows, maybe this thread will actually get going. Can I add you to the interviewee list?
I got interested since I was a kid, real young. I remember playing stock market on paper and pencil and grabbing the business section from my dad first thing the newspaper got in so I can Track my pretend portfolio etc.. I even drew stock certificates and made my brother be the counter party and sell him these stocks (or buy back) and we used monopoly money for cash. I was like 10 or 11 back then.
Interview 1: stock777 KINGOFSHORTS It's interesting you should say that. This is often the sort of response you hear from top athletes; they start young and were obsessed. It's also the case for traders who have achieved notoriety, for example those interviewed in Market Wizards. At what age did you place your first real trade?
