  1. I enjoy your ramblings...CL has been a real puzzler...had been trading it earlier this spring/summer then GTFO
of it and quite relieved..care to speculate why it is down soooo big today? End of summer? My goal for the rest of the year is to trade less but smarter!!! I don't know how many times I buy a fly when a simple spread would do...or sell a spread when just selling a single would be the better option....crazy business.

Ha! That's been my goal my entire trading career. Crazy business indeed, and all your flaws in discipline come out.

I don't know, perhaps it's a bit old school or maybe just the guys I was hanging out with. Spindro and the old yahoo gang. Leg ins, which are trades themselves, trade the trade, hedge the hedge of the hedge. It's ridiculous.

I like the discipline of some traders I see. But I also know a guy with ironclad discipline, who hasn't made money in decades. Bottom line is making money and a decent ROP.

I've always felt that there's room for improvement, more than ever now after nearly 14 years. It's like a pane of glass. When it's dark, you don't see the flaws, but when the light shines in, you see the dirt.

Maybe comment on CL later, but way tired as my time stamps show.

Hmm...well it was bound to happen sooner or later. I just had too many chances to get it right.

Been tempted to sell in the 2007 area since I got up. First time could've worked, now the 2nd doesn't look good. Plenty short anyways.

I may nudge the short side after the open, but looks like my main task will be to defend the upside for now. I still like the argument for a short mid-term. But this market may have other ideas. Scratching my head a bit here.

And it is a question of how high will it go before it turns and how much heat are you willing to take.

BTW, I have no agenda for posting live. I don't know why I'm doing this - except maybe to make myself look bad, or good. Not interested in anything, except sitting home in PJs and playing with numbers. Wouldn't even consider trading OPM (a collective sigh of relief from family and friends.)

I've had offers from FFs, but as soon as I describe trading to them, what I've been through, and my results - their eyes glaze over and they walk away. It's a great way to get rid of those people.

That's probably why I'm doing this, just to talk about it. I don't like talking about trading much, even with other traders. I look at other journals and quickly lose interest. Nothing anyone else says about trading interests me much - except for a couple of guys - and I'd expect the same in return.

Hmmm...the more I type, the better my position gets. oidohvjsovzvfviajvjfv...hah!
