  1. Which currency pair is the most active from 12:01pm--16:00pm EST?

  2. Even though the action slows down a bit, all the major currency pairs are still active after London and other European traders go home or hit the pubs, around noon New York time.

  4. ??

You can find sweet Forex range-trading or reversal opportunities during the afternoon US session.

  5. But my strategy needs intraday trend during the afternoon US session

  6. Where is the problem, a trend can start anywhere, during the London session, the American session or even the Asian session.

You want to make pips of you want a trend between noon and 4 PM? What's so special about this time period?

  7. I am daytrader. Before 9:30am, I can trade EUR.USD. From 9:30 am to noon, I can trade ES furtures or eur.usd. From 8:00pm to 11:00pm I can trade USD.JPY. But from noon to 4:00pm, I can trade nothing. ES and EUR.USD are not active enough.

  8. Oh I see.

it seems to me that you are the type of trader who NEEDS to trade all the time. You must absolutely abandon that mentality as quickly as possible. When there is no action - and even more importantly - when your system does not generate a trading signal, then just stay away from the market, simple as that.

  9. USD/INR currency pair is active you can trade it on SGX, CME, DGCX exchanges as INR/USD futures
and USD/INR futures on CME Europe but there isnt liquidity its new exchange

all you have to do is look at historical charts and see what pairs meet your definition as "most active." What might be active to me may not be active for you.

For me, none of them are worth a damn after 12pm et. Except during FOMC. And sometimes there is some unwinding after an unusually big day.
