  3. Backfill has not worked in that version for years. There is a patch posted way earlier here for 3.9.8a that fixed that issue.

    Jerry,
There is a "sdata2.dmp" file in the QT cache folder (note the "2" in the filename) that shows up once in awhile. I have noticed that anytime this file exceeds 60MB, I lose all the QT data and a "backup restore with data" won't restore the data unless I replace the sdata2.dmp with an older one that is less than 30MB that I happen to have saved sometime ago.

    What is this sdata2.dmp?
Is there a size limit for the file? (I wonder if that's why QT becomes unstable)
And, how come the QT backup function does not select this file for backup? (QT does backup sdata.dmp without the "2" in the filename though)

Note: I am using QT3.9.8a connected to TWS 944.3 and java1.6 update 6. Thanks in advance.

  5. it might be a temp file used during saving. I don't remember. Any limit that may be there would be many times higher than 30MB

    Okay, thanks.
The file may have just been corrupted and replacing it may have fixed the problem.

  10. it's not the download that failed. its the running of that exe. You would want to set QT to start "As Administrator"
