I have been with Zumo, introducing broke for Ironbeam, for about six months live, trading crude oil futures.
First off, let me say that the commissions are excellent: a one lot trader pays just $4 round trip for trading CL. If your account has less than 15k, there is another $89 monthly charge. That's it. Simple and cheap.
The software they use if Firetip. I like Firetip. Probably the biggest drawbacks on firetip is 1) no trailing stops, and 2) I can't seem to get it to give me an alert via email when there is a buy or sell.
These are just quibbles. The software is easy to use, powerful, and fast. I have not had an issue or problem, but occassionally I have called with questions, and I have always received a straight, accurate answer.
They have a demo platform which expires every two weeks. I would prefer to have a demo platform to forward test more, but every time I have requested a new demo, they have given it to me.
Did I mention that they are inexpensive but really good? I checked out interactive brokers and optionsxpress before going with Zumo, I thought Firetip was better and the commissions were also better. |
