I agree to the previous comment. Their website is unable to handle the load during peak hours. I have faced this problem couple of times around 4PM.
Probably great for low-frequency and casual traders. Their local presence and support staffs are really on of the best in the industry. |

This was my very first platform when I decided to go live. In all fairness, for the passive investor, they have a wide range of products to offer. Park more than 25K in a fund and you get their Elite platform and Trade Ideas for free. Of course, if you're a short term swing or day trader, you must avoid because direct access is what you need.
I'll comment on each line item in the ratings column:
Quotes are often incorrect and executions can be painfully slow, market or otherwise. They do offer alot of products. Calls to customer service are answered quickly and politely, but lack true technical or market knowledge. Commisions? At 7 bucks a pop, you can do worse for a no fee platform. The platform itself is fairly reliable, but the skew in quotes and executions make it a hands off application for the serious daytrader.
Overall: If you are the passive investor type that likes to move cash around in funds, or swing trade a large cap every now and then, it's just like the commercial says: We thought you'd like that. |
