I'm extremely happy with Genesis' knowledgeable staff, reliable software and network, competitive commission structure, and intuitively designed software. I very much doubt any other firm could do better.
Also they are very kind and ready to discuss every business strucutre for the trader`s needs.

you don't have to be automated, but if you are rewards keep on coming with Genesis. speed, orders tags and hyper sophisticated routing options. and whatever commissions you pay now, they can truely beat it. it's a custom broker. so you have to negociate everything, comms, leverage etc.. it's good and it's bad.. you always feel like you could get a better deal, although hard to believe when you consider the deal you get !
only one thing, for my Canadian friends : they can't trade with Genesis. too bad. |

A month ago I switched from Assent to Genesis. Volume is about 50% automated with about 100k shares per day. The API is rock solid, though documentation is lacking so I paid someone to program my stuff for me. Laser quotes are great once loaded, but sometimes load time can be 3-5 seconds in a L2 window (especially listed). This is my ONLY complaint. Support is great...an API question is usually answered by email withing 10 mins, and other inquiries/requests are handled by Serge in good time. Not to mention the commission savings can pay my mortgage payments. Over the past 6+ years I used Cyber, IB, Redi, Hammer, & Anvil. Laser is as good or better than any of these. |
