jumped the shark in 1999/2000, when they started to go from being small, and profitable, and successful, to lots o' commercials on tv.
in the meantime - they overworked their techies, so the good ones left. those that stayed were clueless, not knowing a traceroute (for example).
the system (watley's) started being down for unusual amounts of time with alarming frequency. their short list wouldn't be ready sometimes til 10 in the morning -blaming it on penson, though other brokers who used penson could get the list up much earlier.
i left, and never looked back. they called a year later and offered me the chance to come back, at much reduced commissions (from before, or my current broker). i declined, because i couldn't trust them.
if you want to see more stuff, go to the yahoo msg boards for ABWGE. yup, it trades on the pink sheets...the filings have been delinquent (and that's putting it kindly). |

All I have to say is I have scoured the trading community looking for hands down the best deals for an active trader. I have talked to everyone in the business and nobody and I mean nobody could give me a deal like AB Watley. They beat the pants off of Terranovaonline which I had for almost 3 years, now I am saving close to 25k a month in commission reductions. I got the hook up over there and never plan on leaving. Heck they already told me I was a golden egg and never want me to leave. I guess that is why they pay for hotel rooms at trade shows for me along with all kinds of other goodies. I love the company you cant get any better if you trade 1000 trades a month or more! |
