I want it to be known that OptionsXpress sells options training/education through a product they call OptionsXpress personal coaching in a very dishonest way. Today I got a sales call from them and it reminded me of the terrible experience I had with them with a different sales person. My problem is that they lie and string you along and waste your time pretending that the coaching is free until the very end. That's when they demand $3,000 payment for the services. This sales guy wasted a good deal of my time a couple months ago. Afterwards I complained in an email to the OptionsXpress President. Today when I picked up the phone I asked the girl how much it cost twice. The first time she ignored my question, the second time she told me she "was not aware of that". They try to basically make it sound like it's a complimentary service for traders at their brokerage, then after they ask you 101 questions they demand payment. The salesman told me numerous times that they "don't make any money off the training". Later he tried to back peddle saying that they just break even after costs not that it was free. It's unprofessional and because of it I also will not be using OptionsXpress as an options broker. If they call you, don't let them waste your time. |

I used this brokerage company around 2000 for an IRA account. Execution was fast and they had a nice website with a lot of features and reporting. Their commissions are unfortunately too high compared to other companies out there. |

OptionXpress hired this new security firm to verify people's identity. This firm offer the worse possible questions, they link people by last name only and ask you questions that you could never answer. This is making even placing a trade difficult. Despite expressing outrage, optionsXpress does not seem to be concerned, Well, I am much better with my margin management so I am going back to IB where commissions is cheaper and getting service is not as complicated. |

Seldom rate a broker twice[good excellant]; but these Chicago guys/gals deserve it, not like Etrash. Sure, turtle is more than a nickname; yes i like Curtis Faith turtle book also.
Comissions aren't a big deal to swing or position trader.IB is a great broker also, but OX charts/stock /option data is much better, years better.
As far as charts going down, well Mark Weinstien [option champ] simply cut off his quote machine/exited .Actually if you focus on a few/study trends & proper position size ; really dont have to exit.........
William O Neil [IBD] warned about missing moves, because of limit orders, fine, good warning; well usually use limit orders with OXPS, get some price improvement. |

I've had 1 or 2 lot orders in crude and other markets where the market just blew through my stop (slow market conditions) & the stop simply wasn't recognized.
The charts are free but they suck. They disconnect every one or two hours.
The customer service SUCKS - I used to trade with XPressTrade but they were bought by OXP & now their futures trading business has suffered.
DO NOT trade futures with these guys - it's not worth the hassle.
I'd recommend trading futures DIRECTLY with an FCM. The best, in my humble opinion is probably MF Global or RJO. |
