book is timeless. it hit the mark when it was written and it hits it today. i read it when I need to remind myself of fundamental rules of trading. the author is a pro and it shows up in the words. |

I agree 100% with "2manywhiners" post. This was one of the first books on trading that I read and I still go to it now and then. |

read my last post. I can't believe this book's approval rating is below 50%. Keep in mind its target audience is the very inept newbie, so of course the experienced won't take much, if anything at all, from this. However, it is almost guaranteed to provide more than one very important rule to newbies, one which they may have never learned otherwise. Every newb should at least make a visit to their library to read the chapter titles/rules and skim over some of the content, then decide for yourself. Btw, this is probably the most clearly written book targeted at newbs. Content aside, it is a very easy read... So if you're illiterate, and want to trade the Stock Market... blah blah blah you can't read this anyway and you're already screwed... hahaha! |

I read a little of this book when it was recommended by a well known trader who said that if he would read one (or any book on day trading) this would be it. That was in 2002. When reading the reviews of this book here, I could not help but notice that the negative reviews are rather old. I agree that Mr. Nassar offers no "trading plan" to follow. He expects the reader to create one on their own (why would anyone want to use a plan someone else created anyway?) Success comes from hard work and any trader better be able to work hard or they will be history. As for "Enron" I don't think he was the only trader (or anyone else for that matter)that was fooled. I reread the entire book recently and I still think it has value, because the rules he cites (at least most of them) still apply and better be followed unless one would rather do something else besides trading the markets. I paid less than $10 for it and still think it has value for newbies and experienced traders as well. |

far more advanced than other reviews stated. There seems to be an agenda on elitetrader. Too many negative influences and not enough honesty. This bbook was a best seller and for good reason. |
