I bought the book a few years ago -- still have it. I have coresponded with Tony, and he is pretty nice. His books have great information for somebody new to trading.

This is strictly a beginner's book. The ideal buyer will have read little or nothing else. Experienced traders and readers will find nothing new here. The book is expensive (well over $80), so be sure to order from a source where you can return the item if you find its contents are too simplistic. With the advent of decimalization, very tight spreads, and other issues, some of the material is dated. However, the book can be a worthwhile addition to the newcomer's library.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book--in fact all of Tony's books including his latest, How To Take Money From Wall Street. All of them are easy to read and cover many aspects of trading (money management, trading psychology, technical analysis, etc.) and are chocked full of useful ideas, concepts and insight.

From the hype this book generated on the online bookstore review boards I thought it would have more, especially for the price. The first 2/3 of the book are just the basics: how supply/demand work, basic T/A, and order routing. That's available elsewhere for less. But the last part of the book with Tony's scans and a few sample case studies made it worth it to me. I like his second book,

This book is a great primer for beginning traders, in that it gives you a full overview of daytrading stocks, from an introduction to the markets, to explanations of execution methods, Level II, position management and money management. It's a great book for beginners and intermediate traders alike.
