I was surprised to only find six reviews so far on this book. At first, I believed that it deserved a little more attention. However, I think its fair to say that the previous reviews nailed it right on the head, theres really nothing much else to say.

So, the only thing I have to add is; don’t just ignore this book based on the low level of perceived attention. Its not the absolute best, but it is certainly one of the best books to read for beginners.

Pring covers the major concepts of TA concisely, which is nice since the field is more art than science.

Most disliked features: One annoyance is how Pring would spend a few pages describing a technique, then show one example where it worked and several examples where it didn't work. If a technique doesn't work so well then why bother using it? After the first few pages, the reader is fully aware the TA is not perfect.

Another annoyance was how Pring used many similar terms to descibe the same thing. It may be confusing for someone who is completey new to investing/trading. A glossary of terms would have been nice.

Most liked feature: I like how Pring would illustrate a concept on the CD using his software and click forward one day at a time and show if pattern predictions were correct or not. After all, the real world of trading/investing does not offer the benefit of hindsight when placing entries.

This is a great introductory book that covers most things you need to know. Perfect for someone new to trading, and as a solid reference book for the more experienced trader..
