If you want the original work on patterns buy Schabackes's 1930ish book "Technical Analysis of Stock Market Profits" He originated the material, Magee, and all the rest just regurgitated what Schabacker wrote.
Still Suri's book is a good reference. His example of a falling wedge is not correct, he classifies an falling expanding triangle as a wedge. |

good reference manual for experienced traders who use chart patterns to trade. Clearly written and to the point. With precise entry, stop, exit points, it would definitely help a new trader to focus on trading the right way. The book would also help experienced traders refresh their mind time to time...And it's simply nice collection of patterns we trade (for traders who trade charts)..Did I learn enough from this book to justify the cost? Probably not...But the book is definitely worth the money...Better than 99% of the books out there on trading.. |

I have bought and red about ten books on market patterns, and this is by far the best. I bought it based on recommendations from several traders, and also the youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNRuxUX1sNM) that showed me that there were several patterns in the book I was not familiar with.
I didn't realize the treasure I bought until I started reading. Even basic patterns have deeper and better analysis and trading strategies than I've seen anywhere else, and there are many new and complex patterns that are explained extremely well.
It is truly a must read. |
