If somebody asks me where to start learning about the markets I always tell them to get this book. It's a huge one, but it's one of the best out there.

It's the second best book on trading among all I've ever read (first being 'Reminiscence of a Stock Operator'). These two I recommend as must read before reading any technical or fundamental or whatever to venture into the markets.

I like to understand how things work and this book delivers a clear and precise explanation of the marketplace.

If you enjoy this book, two others to consider are “Capital Markets, Institutions and Instruments” by Frank J Fabozzi & Franco Modigliani, and “After The Trade is Made” by David M. Weiss.
