Commercial Posting Account

If you're interested in promoting your service on our message boards, you must have a "Commercial Posting Account", which is a paid account that authorizes you to participate on our boards from a promotional standpoint.

The first benefit is that you can post things like special offers, press releases, and product announcements in the "Announcements" forum of our message board. Whenever a new thread is started in this forum, it appears on the homepage in bold, giving your thread more prominence over the others listed.

Second, this account enables you to participate in any other forum on behalf of your firm. So if you wanted to use the boards for answering trading questions posted by others, or for discussing your products and services, you would be allowed to do that without fear of your posts being deleted. Whenever you post, your company name would appear directly below your username. This will distinguish you as being a site sponsor, therefore our moderators and members will all know that you support the site.

Third, you are allowed to set up a signature file so that every time you post, your contact information automatically appears at the bottom of your post. You could also use your signature for promoting special offers. For example, your signature file might be a link that reads: “Click here for a FREE Newsletter”.

With that said, we’ve found that the most successful users of the commercial posting account are those who post good, trading-related content in their posts, and then rely on their signatures to drive people to their websites. Because if you post good content, people are going to read that and naturally click on the link in your signature to check out your site and get more info. If you try to promote yourself too much in the actual content of your posts, it’s easy to get a bad reputation on the site as being a spammer, snake oil salesman, etc. Hope that makes sense.
